A great term with attendance!

Attendance at Ark William Parker has improved considerably in the last term. Our boys have shown a commendable dedication to their studies and have shown the perseverance to attend school every day. We are sure that the results of this will show in their end of year assessments in the summer! Have a great half-term and see you back at school on Monday 4th June! Football Academy

Working in partnership with Hastings United FC

Ark 6th Form East Sussex and Hastings United Football Club are continuing to work in partnership to provide a football academy for students aged between 16 and 18 years. The partnership aims to offer a first class opportunity for students to combine educational and footballing excellence. Both parties are delighted that they are able to extend the provision as part of our commitment to the local community.

Ark 6th Form and Hastings United FC are dedicated in developing both academic and footballing potential, but also individuals who are respectful, independent and well-rounded that are prepared for different future pathways. Both at college and football we aim to provide an environment that is considerate and encouraging to everybody.

With the Football Academy being based at Ark 6th Form, everything for the students is on one site and this has a number of excellent training facilities which include both indoor and outdoor surfaces as well as a fitness suite where the students can work independently in their free time to improve their own personal fitness. The Conference Youth Alliance League games are played at the Pilot Field, the home Hastings United.

Collectively we aim to offer the following;

  • Opportunities for students to develop football abilities through regular training sessions that will improve learners technically and tactically.
  • Academy players will compete in both the Conference Youth Alliance League as well as the Sussex Schools Under 19 1st XI League giving the students the opportunity to play in competitive match situations.
  • A flexible curriculum to accommodate students who want to study A Levels and BTEC courses which will prepare them for higher education or employment.
  • An opportunity to gain the FA Level 1 Award in Football Coaching.
