Aiming to make careers education a huge success
Hastings has been selected as one of 12 areas that will receive funding as part of the Governments Opportunity area funding. As part of this funding and support we have been paired with an Enterprise advisor, who is someone from a local business who will give the school strategic support to their career programme.
Ark William Parker’s Enterprise Advisor comes in the form of former student Nigel Cutting who is the Manufacturing Manager at Marshall Tufflex. Nigel will be supporting the Careers Lead in developing certain areas of the programme to ensure that the Gatsby benchmarks are met. After Nigel’s visit, which brought back some excellent memories of his time at William Parker, he said “I am passionate about contributing to make Careers Education a success at William Parker and I am absolutely convinced that both of us will make this a huge success and a benchmark for all other schools.”
