Year 8 team crowned district champions

Ark William Parker Year 8s concluded their season with a comprehensive win over St. Richards in the Final of the South East Sussex Schools Cup played at Lewes F.C.

St Richards defended resolutely in the first half and with Parker missing a number of opportunities the half time score was 0-0. Parker, who reached the last 16 of the National Cup, then found their stride and eventually broke the deadlock with a fine goal from Alfie. Further goals from Jamal, Spencer, Nathan and another from Alfie sealed the victory.

Coach Jimmy Elford said, “We are pleased for the boys to have ended the season with a trophy, they deserved one for the perseverance they have shown. The boys have been great to work with again this season and we aim to win the county trophy next year.”

Result 5-0.
