Football team win 2nd Championship title for Hastings

Unbeaten Ark William Parker County Cup Champions scoop 2nd title and win the District Cup

The Year 7 football team at Ark William Parker have good reason to celebrate - they have been declared champions for a second time after winning the final of South East Sussex Schools District Cup.

Ark William Parker beat Bishop Bell 6-0 at Lewes FC. Alfie Peacock scored 3 goals and Benn, Jamal and Harvey all got one each.

The team have gone undefeated all season, beating St Leonards Academy, St Richards and Claverham in the local A league. They also won the match against Priory 2-1 in the semi-final. This local title completes the double win as it adds to the Sussex County Cup won last month.

Coach Jimmy Elford said, “We are thrilled to be celebrating the achievements of our Year 7 football team who have won both the District and County Cups. The boys have shown great team spirit, worked really hard together and supported each other to achieve a fantastic result.”

“In September we will be launching our House system to promote participation in more events and encourage team building and exercise. We look forward to a very exciting future for sport at Ark William Parker Academy.”
