Ark William Parker team through to semi-finals of the County Cup

The Year 9 Ark William Parker football team won through to the County Cup semi-final with a 3-1 victory over Sackville School, East Grinstead.

Playing in difficult conditions Ark William Parker continued the search for County Cup glory. Sackville were a physically strong team who certainly were hungry for success. Parker dominated play in the early stages of the first half however it was Sackville who opened the scoring. This seemed to galvanise the Parker boys who levelled with a close range goal from Jamal Palmer. Alfie Peacock made the score 2-1 with a fine finish. Aiden Avery made an impact as a half time substitute and it was his pressure that led to a mistake by the Sackville goalkeeper allowing Avery to finish into an open goal from 30 yards.

Ark William Parker now face Durrington School at home in the semi-final.
