Students and staff took part in many activities during the last week of term.
On Monday 15th December, students and staff enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch in the main hall. They were very amused to be served by members of the Senior Leadership Team who were appropriately dressed for the occasion. Crackers, holly, Christmas hats and festive music ensured a good time was had by all.
On Tuesday, 16th December, Year 7 made the short journey up Parkstone Road to St Peter & St Pauls Church for a carol service. The Rev'd Luke Dean, minister-in-charge of the parish of St Johns, shared in the service conducted by the Rev'd Peter Michell, School Chaplain. There were some particularly well read passages from the Bible by Year 7 students. Apart from traditional carols, the boys sang popular modern Christmas songs. In a brief address the Chaplain referred to the Christmas truce of 1914 and the core message of Christmas of 'peace on earth, goodwill toward men'.
Special assemblies were held during the week to celebrate the success of our students. The boys were presented with certificates and awards, for a variety of achievements, including excellent work and attendance.
The week ended with a fabulous Christmas show which was attended by all year groups. Staff took to the stage, dressed for the occasion and showed off their many talents to a very appreciative audience. Music, dancing and singing was enjoyed by all, especially the students who showed their appreciation with rounds of applause and loud cheers.
