A great term with attendance!

Attendance at Ark William Parker has improved considerably in the last term. Our boys have shown a commendable dedication to their studies and have shown the perseverance to attend school every day. We are sure that the results of this will show in their end of year assessments in the summer! Have a great half-term and see you back at school on Monday 4th June! Remember - Attendance is important!

Careers Creative Cafe

Creative Cafe

On December 2nd,  ARK William Parker Academy hosted a careers event for Year 10 students called Creative Cafe. Students from Helenswood Academy, and other local schools and academies, were invited to attend.

Creative Cafes connect young people to creative industry professionals. These inspirational events give young people an insight into real career paths and a wide variety of creative and cultural industry roles.

Students were given the opportunity to meet and talk to people working across a variety of roles at Hastings Direct. They worked together, took part in workshops, and were set creative tasks and challenges.

Aaron Eastman, Year 10, said “I would like to see another event, similar to this in the future, perhaps with different subjects. This has made me think about what I want to do in the future and how I can achieve it”
