Ark stars shine bright in Hastings at the Prom
It was a pleasure to welcome so many guests to our Year 11 prom on Thursday 25th June. The theme for the evening was "Gatsby" and the décor and ambience created certainly reflected the decadent glamour of the roaring 20’s.
The young men and women made their entrances in all modes of transport ranging from classic vintage cars and limousines to a monster truck; other vehicles included campervans, an Aston Martin, a motorbike and an army jeep. The Parents, staff and members of the public looked on as some of Hastings' brightest and best arrived to celebrate together. The young women from Helenswood looked amazing in their beautiful gowns and the young men from Ark William Parker were stunning in their evening attire. The dazzling style of this bright, warm evening continued into the night; the guests enjoyed an excellent buffet, dancing and music; and as the evening drew to a close, they gathered for a spectacular firework display.
The students raised the money throughout the year to fund a great DJ, professional photographer, photo booth and that ever important chocolate fountain! What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their GCSE examinations and indeed the end of their compulsory school careers.
Ms Grimmer, Head of Year 11 at Ark William Parker, said "I have thoroughly enjoyed my role this year and what a privilege it was to be invited to spend the evening with such an amazing group of young achievers so full of hope and anticipation for the bright futures that lay ahead. Good luck to you Year 11; You rocked!"
