Why work at Ark William Parker Academy?
This is an opportunity to make a real difference where it matters most. The school was placed in special measures in January 2013, after which work began to transform it – starting with teaching and learning. Weekly professional development sessions were implemented, along with a new coaching programme. Improvements were also made to the building itself: classrooms were refurbished, corridors were painted, and a second canteen was created, along with a brand new school library. A new school uniform and a new name – Ark William Parker Academy – signalled a new chapter for the school and its students. Now, the school continues to build on the progress that staff have made. As an Ark school, Ark William Parker Academy has set high expectations for every student – and the whole team is committed to meeting those expectations.
We warmly encourage visits, please contact us to arrange to see our school.
